A huge high-pressure system is dominating the weather for the time being and will bring us dry and very warm air over the weekend. Very warm air of subtropical origin is being directed straight towards us from the Mediterranean region, and a southerly foehn wind is pushing temperatures up even further. In terms of temperature, we are therefore heading for a significant peak. The sun will shine mostly uninterrupted from a blue sky on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, a few harmless and thin clouds may appear from time to time. Indian summer is prevailing. At the beginning of the last week of September, the weather and temperature trend is clearly pointing downwards overall. However, it is not yet clear exactly when the rain will start and how strong the cooling will ultimately be.
