A strong high-pressure system over Central Europe will determine the weather in the coming days, bringing fairly dry and very warm air. The key factor is the so-called jet stream in the upper atmosphere. It continues to follow a wide arc around Central Europe, keeping low-pressure systems and rain bands away from us. As a result, we’ll remain on the warm and dry side. Combined with the intense May sunshine, temperatures will climb to summer-like levels. We can therefore expect mostly pleasant weather from Thursday through Saturday. Friday, in particular, will even be completely cloudless for a while (in the morning). On Sunday, a change in the weather will gradually become apparent as the day progresses. After a pleasant start, showers and thunderstorms will become more frequent in the second half of the day. Then it will also start to cool down.
