SAAC Basic Camps are free 2-day avalanche camps with background information and practice for off-piste freaks. State-certified ski and mountain guides inform about alpine dangers off the secured slopes. A SAAC Basic Camp starts on the first day in the afternoon with a three-hour theory session. On the second day, SAAC's state-certified ski and mountain guides take you off-piste in small groups. SAAC Basic Camps are open to all skiers and snowboarders aged 14 and over who have sufficient technical skills for off-piste skiing and who register in good time. The number of participants is limited.
