Unteres Kappali in Quadratsch

The path chapel marks the beginning of the path through the Tobel (dialect word for ravine), which ended at the upper Kappali in Grins. Quadratsch had no cemetery and was subordinate to the parish of Grins. The dead were brought to Grins on foot along this path. In winter, the path through the ravine was very dangerous. Chapels at both ends of the path were supposed to protect the funeral procession.

The lower chapel stands on the meadow of the Sprenger family, who undertook the renovation in 1981.
