Texpa Simplon becomes Ischgl Simplon. The renowned cycling team centred around top athletes Markus Kaufmann (D) and Hansueli Stauffer (CH) will be racing under a new name with immediate effect. The name change marks the beginning of a promising partnership with the Tourism Region Paznaun - Ischgl, which will support the team in the coming season.
A team of world-class riders
The ten-strong team, led by top athletes Markus Kaufmann (D), reigning European and German champion in the Master Marathon distance, and Hansueli Stauffer (CH), Ischgl Ironbike winner, is bursting with talent and will also be competing with two women this season. Stauffer on the new cooperation: "We are delighted to have found a strong partner in Ischgl and are looking forward to working with the region, which hosts the legendary Ischgl Ironbike, where we have already achieved one or two successes."
In addition to Markus Kaufmann (D) and Hansueli Stauffer CH), team riders Philip Handl (A), Marlies Feichtenhofer (A), Michael Wohlgemuth (I), Marek Sülzle (D), Uwe Hardter (D), Lomas Welfing (D) and now Pia Vogt (D) and Peat Weinberg (D) will represent the Ischgl Simplon Team at upcoming competitions.

Team Ischgl Simplon is starting the coming racing season with a strong team spirit and a clear vision and is optimistic about success in national and international mountain bike challenges. Philip Handl, Ischgl Simplon team rider from Tyrol, underlines the importance of the new partnership: "Having a renowned tourism region like Ischgl as a partner is very valuable for us and it is an honour to be able to represent this name at all upcoming races. Why is Ischgl a good fit for us? The Tourism Region Paznaun - Ischgl is not only the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts in winter. With the legendary Ischgl Ironbike, it is also home to one of the oldest and toughest mountain bike marathons in the Alps. Anyone who finishes the Ischgl Ironbike, which is notorious for its steep climbs, can count themselves among the toughest. As a team, we will not only be making a statement here this year with our new name. The competition can dress warmly."
