Description
The starting point for this route is the information office in the village center of Kappl. With the bike you first ride along a road, which at the level of the hamlet Wiese leads into a forest road. In large hairpin bends, the path winds its way past the Ruhesteinkapelle chapel into the Seßladtal valley. The traditional Untere Seßladalpe at just under 2,000 m is ideal for a little refreshment. Here you can also safely park your bike in the bike depot. Continue on foot in the direction of Niederelbehütte (2,300 m). From here, you still have a good 100 meters of altitude to climb on the scenic hiking trail to the Kappler Kopf (2,404 m).
Tip: Plan a stop at the Niederelbehütte and enjoy the view of the beautiful Seßsee as well as the view into the Verwall.
Arrival
The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.
Parking
Underground parking at the community center.
Further parking in Kappl village at the Pardeck (opposite Camren's Pizzagrill) or below the bakery Wechner.
Public transport
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Kappl Dorf
